Samsung gearing up to launch the Galaxy A8 Star in India

On the imaging front, it sports a 16MP + 24MP dual-camera setup on the back and a 24MP for selfies.

Galaxy A8 Star will be priced in the range of the OnePlus 6

The teaser page doesn't offer whatever exact launch details only has a 'Notify me' option along with the words "Shining soon". Though the exact pricing is not yet revealed, the teaser does confirm the new device volition retail for INR 30,000 (~$430) or above. This positions the Galaxy A8 Star in direct competition with the Asus ZenFone 5Z and OnePlus 6 – both of which are far more well-specced than the Galaxy A8 Star.

Interestingly, Samsung is selling the aforementioned device as the Galaxy A9 Star in China, while marketing it every bit the Galaxy A8 Star in other regions. We don't know what moniker Samsung will cull for the Indian market.
